The versions of the Kelly, both the Sellier and the Retourne, basically look like identical twins at first glance. However, they still have their own unique differences. This bag is a Kelly Retourne. The Kelly Retourne has a more relax and slouchy feel in comparison to her twin sister, the Sellier which is more rigid with a boxy silhouette.
This featured bag is crafted from Courchevel leather, a material used more commonly in the early 2000s which has now been discontinued. It is an embossed leather not unlike the popular Epsom stamped leather, but is glossier and darker, at the top part of the grain. Lightweight, and scratch-resistant, bags that are made from this leather are now a tough find.
Featured is a used Kelly Sellier handbag in size 32, Blue France, with its ‘G’ stamp to mark its 2003 make. Over a decade year old, it does have slight minor flaws like light scuffs on its bottom corners and exterior, and tarnishing on its handle joints. Otherwise, this bag is generally in very good condition and comes with its box, clochette, dust bag, lock and shoulder strap.
